Dec. 4 Google visit confirmed: Our host plans to drive to the South Lake Union office after dropping Isaac off at school, giving us time to walk around the different offices and have breakfast. We will bring official photo ID / passports. After SLU, the plan continues to Google Kirkland → Microsoft Redmond → Bellevue, with the exact timing kept flexible around the employee-hosted visit.

18:10 · China Airlines CI22 arrives at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), departing Taipei at 23:35 on Dec 3. Both flights are confirmed in Premium Economy (outbound U / return A). Hertz pickup is booked for 9:00 PM, Small SUV AWD; check the vehicle, M+S tire markings and license plate before leaving.
After immigration, baggage claim and picking up our rental car, we will drive directly to Sammamish, with a working arrival estimate of about 10:15–10:30 PM; arrival before 11:00 PM is still reasonable if immigration or Hertz takes longer. At the Hertz counter, we will tell them that we plan to drive into Canada on Dec. 6 and return to the U.S. on Dec. 7, confirm that cross-border travel is permitted, and make sure we have a copy of the Rental Agreement / Rental Record before leaving (preferably both electronic and paper copies). If a separate authorization document is required for the border, we will ask for it at pickup. We will not plan a formal dinner or grocery stop that night. If we still have enough energy, we can use McDonald's Drive-Thru as the first choice or Habit Burger & Grill Drive-Thru as the backup in Sammamish, choosing whichever is quicker and avoiding any extra detour. After getting home, we will eat, shower and settle in, then rest. Since Dec. 4 is now the Google / Eastside day, there is no need to stay up checking mountain-pass conditions. The Leavenworth road check moves to the night of Dec. 7, with the final WSDOT decision on the morning of Dec. 8.
Morning · Our host will drop Isaac off at school and then drive to Google South Lake Union, 1021 Valley St, Seattle. This gives us a relaxed start after our late arrival the night before. We will bring our passports / official photo ID and follow the employee's instructions for parking, visitor entry and check-in.
At Google SLU · Walk around the different office areas with our host and have breakfast there. We are intentionally not locking the morning to a strict minute-by-minute schedule because the employee-hosted visit should take priority.
Late morning · Continue to Google Kirkland – Kirkland Urban, 425 Urban Plaza, Suite 223, Kirkland for the second office visit. The exact visitor entrance / floor will follow the employee's instructions that day.
Lunch · Planned at the Google South Lake Union office. Keep the timing flexible around our employee host; the principal visit order remains SLU → Kirkland → Microsoft Redmond.
